Rules

Basic Rules

Berlin Open is played with the BB2016 Competition Rules Pack (CRP) including the rules for the NAF allowed extra teams (Slann, Underworld, Chaos Pact, Daemons of Khorne and Bretonnian). We play according to the resurrection style of play. All coaches start each of their games with the same roster and skills they registered before the tournament. There will be no special play cards.
(Deeproot is considered a halfling treeman and such has the skill Timmm-ber!)

Each coach build their team with a treasury consisting of 1,100,000 gold crowns.
underworld team will gain a free reroll for the entire tournament. That reroll is useable once during the whole tournament and expires afterwards.
Additionally dwarves, goblins, skaven and underworld teams will gain a free +1 fan factor for their roster.

 Inducements
Each team may induce one star player (but must have 11 rostered players before doing so).
The exceptions to this rule are the tier 3 teams which may hire two star players but must have at least 11 regular players before doing so. Goblins may buy 0-3 bribes and Halflings may buy 0-1 master chef.
If two teams with the same star player face off in a game, neither may use the star player, who's received the money from both teams and made a run for it.

Weather Table

2 Steaming Vents
Steam comes out of vents around the pitch, increasing the temperature and as a result a D6 needs to be rolled for each player on the pitch at the end of a drive. On 1 one the player is to exhausted from playing in the sauna like environment and spends the drive in the reserves box, ie the player may not be set up for the next kick-off.
3 Foul Smell
A foul smell omits from around the pitch and any pass, catch or interception attempt suffers an additional -1 to the roll.
4-10 Nice Weather
Normal underground weather.
11 Foggy
A mist is leaking from pipes next to the field, making it foggy and difficult to see players further down the field. Due to this, only quick and short passes can be attempted.
12 Water Leakage
A pipe is broken and water leaks out on the pitch, making the surface wet and slippery. This makes GFI extra difficult and a player attempting to move an extra square fails on a 1-2 instead of the normal 1. In addition to this a -1 is applied to any attempt to pick up, catch or intercept the ball, due to it being wet.

Skills
All skills will be chosen before the tournament and will stay the same for all matches throughout the tournament. See the tier chart below for information on how many skill points your team becomes.

Skill stacking or stat upgrades are not allowed and star players can never be given an additional skill.

Roster
All coaches need to bring their own printed rosters for the event. At least one roster must be in English to show your opponent during games and check in at the venue.

Please send in your roster prior to attending the event. This will ensure that we can get everyone registered on time and make sure the event will run smoothly. Send a copy of your roster to undergroundcup@outlook.com with the topic: Roster, NAF name, NAF number.
A site for roster creation (Little Army Designer) can be found here.
Deadline for roster submission is one week prior to the tournament.

Additional Rules

12+ players on the pitch
In case, that a team got too many players on the pitch, the extra players (above 11) will be randomly removed from the pitch. The team will loose its turn. You can substitute these players later, AFTER the end of the drive … – see page 11 CRP.
Time running out
When the time runs out for the game the coach currently playing his/her turn will be able to finish that turn. If the opponent isn't on the same turn number, he/she is then allowed to finish their turn. For example, Coach A is in turn 14 when the time runs out. Coach A is then allowed to finish his/her turn. Coach B can then finish his/her turn 14, but can't start turn 15 if that would be the next turn.

Raise the Dead
Undead and Necromantic team can use their ability to raise a zombie as per the CRP. The zombie is however removed from the team after the game.
Casualities
Only casualties resulting from a block counts as a casuality for scoring purposes.
Painting
Your team needs to be painted in at least three colors.
